Long -Term Goal: Get Bachelor’s Degree
Mid-Term Goal: Get AA
Short- Term Goal: Pass all of my classes, study, do all homework
Dear Grisell,
Hello bestest friend in the whole wide world. Wow, I can’t believe a year has passed already, so much has happened this past year you’ll never believe it. Well, I finished schools at Fullerton JC. I received my AA and I am now attending Cal State Long Beach working on getting my Bachelor’s Degree. I passed all of my classes with A’s, B’s, and just a few C’s. I used some of the studying techniques that I learned from my reading 96 class and they helped me so much, and even improved my test scores. I completed all of my homework assignments not leaving one out because if I didn’t do one assignment that one assignment could of affected my grade and I couldn’t afford for my grades to drop. I miss you so much, now that we are both trying to become closer to our careers we haven’t hung out as much, but we definitely need to get to together soon and hang out!
Love,
Your Bestest Friend
Ky'Anna Clavel :)

:) My Hero! :)
There have been many instances in life which have made an impact on me personally. One important story in my life that made a huge impact would have to be the time that my mother went into the hospital. The day the ambulance and fire fighters rushed my mother out of our house made me realize that you can’t take life for granted. My mother has always been very healthy and seeing her in the condition she was in, made me think to myself that that could happen to anyone. You don’t have to be in bad shape for something bad to happen to you, you can be “perfectly” fine, and one day you can take a turn in life. I wake up every morning, grateful that I am able to see another day of life. I’m grateful that my mother and father are healthy right now and that I get to share each and every day with them. My mother was on her death bed and the doctors didn’t believe she would survive, but she did, and that is one of the reasons why I consider my mother to be my hero!! She is an amazing woman, and without my mother, I have no idea what I would do. I respect my mother so much, I look up to her, and I hope I can at least be half the mother she has been! My mother is one of my best friends and I love her to death, I wouldn’t want to consider anyone else my hero but her. She has lived up to the definition of a hero!
